Early Documentaries
A Tale of Tent City (2011) is a short documentary about the establishment of the London branch of the Occupy Movement at St. Pauls Cathedral. The filming involved joining the protest and pitching a tent to stay there over the first night of the camp.
This political theme continues with Protection of Pensions (2011), followed by The Police Have Been Protesting (2012). When the English Defence League and United against Fascism held protests on the same day in Leicester, Marching From Fear (2012) was created which covers viewpoints from both sides. Global Noise (2012) documents the first anniversary of the Occupy movement. The final documentary in this series is A Future That Works (2012).
Music Videos
Focus then turned to creating fictional stories to accompany songs with Lucy creating and illustrating the storyboards, producing, directing and editing each production while collaborating with the most amazing cinematographers and actors. The first music video Tumbling (2013) was created for Muted Fnord, followed by A Hell of A Good Time (2013) for the musician Grace Petrie. A more fantastical and mythical approach was taken with She Runs (2014) as inspired by a song from Grace and the Magic Roots. This series ended with Tensity (2014) created for the New York based Miracles of Modern Science.
Mutual Shoots Ltd
In 2015, Lucy founded and managed the social enterprise Mutual Shoots Ltd which for the next 10 years, supported the growth of many voluntary and community sector organisations. This was achieved by providing promotional media and education using film, animation and photography.
Animations
From 2018 – 2021, Lucy represented Mutual Shoots as one of eleven different organisations from six European countries collaborating on the SHERPA project. The researchers were gathered from academia, industry, civil society, standards bodies and ethics committees to examine the responsible development of artificial intelligence.
